Privacy,
plainly.
Laldinsoft Ltd builds and runs a small number of applications for its own internal use. This policy covers them, and this website. We collect what an app needs to work, use it for nothing else, and sell it to no one.
Who we are, and what this covers
Laldinsoft Ltd, registered in England and Wales with company number 08913359, whose registered office is at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, is the controller of the data described here. "Our apps" means any web, mobile or desktop application published or operated by Laldinsoft. They are not offered to the public: only people we have authorised — our staff, contractors and partners — can sign in.
For this website, the cookies page lists every cookie we set, and the section below on messages you send us covers the contact form.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and profile picture, when you sign in, including through Google Sign-In.
- What you put in — the records, files and messages you create in an app, for as long as you keep them there.
- Technical data — device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and crash and error reports, so we can keep the apps working and secure.
- Permissions you grant — camera, location, contacts or similar, only if a feature needs it, only after you allow it, and only for that feature.
Google user data
Where an app asks to connect to your Google account, it requests only the access a feature needs, and tells you what that is before you agree. Data received from Google APIs is used only to provide that feature to you. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone except where needed to run the feature, to keep it secure, to comply with the law, or with your consent. No person at Laldinsoft reads it unless you ask us to, or the law or a security investigation requires it.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account's security settings.
Messages you send us
When you write to us through the contact form on this website, we receive what you put in it: your name, your email address, your company if you give it, the topic you choose and your message. We use it only to read your message and answer it. It is not added to any mailing list and not used for marketing.
Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us and in keeping the form free of spam and abuse, and, where your message is about working with us, the steps you ask us to take before an agreement.
To keep the form free of spam and abuse, we run a security check on each message with Google reCAPTCHA. Google does this as our processor, on our behalf and under our instructions. The check looks at the submission and at information about your browser and device, and tells us how likely it is that a person sent it. When you send the form, it sets one necessary cookie, _GRECAPTCHA, on Google's reCAPTCHA site (www.recaptcha.net), and stores one item, _grecaptcha, in your browser's local storage for this site; the cookies page lists both.
Your message reaches us as an email, sent through SendGrid, an email delivery service that processes it on our behalf and under our instructions. We also send you one email to confirm we have your message. It names the topic you chose and nothing else you typed.
We keep messages sent through the form for 60 days, then delete them. To have yours deleted sooner, write to info@laldinsoft.com with the subject "Data deletion".
How we use it, and who else sees it
To run the apps, sign you in, keep them secure, fix what breaks and answer you when you write to us. Our basis for this is our legitimate interest in operating our own tools, and, where you work with us, the agreement we have with you or your employer.
The apps and this website are hosted on Google Cloud and Firebase, who process data on our behalf and under our instructions. Messages from the contact form are also checked by Google reCAPTCHA and sent through SendGrid, both acting for us in the same way, as set out above. Beyond those providers, we share data only if the law requires it. We never sell it, and nothing in our apps carries advertising.
Keeping it, and deleting it
Data is encrypted in transit, held with access limited to the people who run the apps, and kept only while your account is active. When an account is closed, or you ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days — save for anything the law requires us to keep.
To have your account and data deleted, write to info@laldinsoft.com with the subject "Data deletion" and the app you used.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected, deleted or handed to you in a portable form, and object to how we use it. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can take it to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time.
Our apps are not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Data may be processed outside the UK by our hosting providers and the services named above, under the safeguards the law requires.
Changes, and asking us
If this policy changes, the new version will be here, with its date below. Questions go to info@laldinsoft.com or to Laldinsoft Ltd, 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, or through the contact form. We reply within one working day.
